There is something completely magical about watching Ruby throated hummingbirds coming to a feeder. They flit in at high speed, feed and then leave again almost as quickly as they come but for this brief moment in time it feels like you have been transported into another world. We have often greedily wished more than the one pair of hummingbirds would use our feeder. At the beginning of the season when food was scarce the male and the female hummingbird both loved the convenience of the feeder. We mixed up a 3:1 sugar solution which was rich in energy for them.... definitely high calorie food on the go, sort of like a fast food drive through for us.... This analogy gave me the idea for my painting. I wanted to capture the idea of a 'drive through' queue but with the magical flying/hovering hummingbirds instead, some waiting patiently, others impatiently just like in a real queue for their turn at the feeder.

A limited edition of 80 giclee prints, each hand signed by the artist and supplied with a custom designed certificate of authenticity. Available in a choice of sizes on either canvas or paper; 16x7.5, 20x9, 30x14. (Approximate printed sizes in inches, paper is usually bigger to allow for easy mounting. Canvas sizes must be adjusted for nearest available bar size and may require slight cropping.)
Open edition giclee prints, sized 11 by 5 inches and hand signed.
Both open and limited edition prints are printed on high quality paper and canvas using archival quality ink. Prints on paper may be ordered bare, mounted in a choice of double mats with foam core backing, or fully framed. Canvas prints are coated with protective varnish and stretched over a wooden frame.

Our intention is to charge shipping at cost, however the shopping cart we are using doesn’t cater for this. The shipping charges you see when you add an item to the cart are appropriate for a single item to Canada and the USA. If you order multiple different items it is likely that we can ship for less than the cumulative price the cart will calculate - we will refund the difference. On the other hand, if you are ordering from outside Canada/USA the shipping may be more than indicated. If so, we will need to contact you with the additional cost. Obviously you may decline if you wish, in which case we will refund your order in full.
