This original piece of art is titled ”Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. It is painted on a full sheet of Arches watercolor paper and signed by the artist.
I wanted to explore peoples’ interpretation of what exactly beauty is. The media forces youngsters to view beauty as being mirror images of our fashion models which can cause huge issues for many and can all too easily lead to heartache. Is this really beauty or is a more natural figure more beautiful to the eye? I was also fascinated by a parallel in the world of flowers.

When my daughter and I went to the florist and saw the calla lilies behind glass and gently and protectively swathed in cotton wool we knew this was the supermodel of the flower world, but in trying to become the calla supermodel is this young woman hiding her true natural beauty or is it still visible within?

A limited edition of 80 giclee prints, each hand signed by the artist and supplied with a custom designed certificate of authenticity. Available in a choice of sizes and materials; 12 by 16, 16 by 22, and 20 by 28 inches on velvet fine art paper or high quality canvas. Canvas prints are supplied stretched over a wooden frame (‘stretcher bars’) and may be either hung as is, or placed inside a conventional frame. Limited edition prints are printed to order, so if you have a specific size that you would like we can accommodate that - just send us an email! Please allow approximately one week extra for delivery of canvas prints.
Open edition giclee prints, sized 8.5 by 11 inches, are printed on velvet fine art paper using archival inks and are hand signed.
Shipping - please read!
Our intention is to charge shipping at cost, however the shopping cart we are using doesn’t cater for this. The shipping charges you see when you add an item to the cart are appropriate for a single item to Canada and the USA. If you order multiple items it is likely that we can ship for less than the cumulative price the cart will calculate - we will refund the difference. On the other hand, if you are ordering from outside Canada/USA the shipping may be more than indicated. If so, we will need to contact you with the additional cost. Obviously you may decline if you wish, in which case we will refund your order in full.
